The Planning Division is responsible for the community’s current and future planning needs, consistent with the General Plan (the "constitution" for the City), Development Code, and policy direction of the City Council.
The Planning Division is responsible for long-range and current planning, housing programs, community services, and assisting with the Concord Reuse Project.
City offices and the Permit Center are currently closed until further notice in response to Covid-19. During this time you may submit general inquiries and planning applications for initial review via email to email@example.com. Please note, applications can only be formally submitted by hard copy via mail (1950 Parkside Drive, MS/53, Concord, CA 94519). Once received, an email acknowledgement will be sent to the applicant listed on the application form. The date of the email acknowledgement will be the date the application is deemed submitted.

Review & Processing
The Planning Division is the central point for the review and processing of all development applications. In coordination with the other divisions within the Permit Center, the Planning Division processes ministerial permits (over-the-counter) and discretionary permits.
