In late 2017, the City Council approved a Pilot Program to partner with the non-profit Covia to launch Home Match Contra Costa. The Program matches Concord homeowners who are age 55 and older, who would like to share their homes for companionship, extra income, and sometimes even help around the house.
The Program provides mediated matching service for shared housing to create long-term successful shared living arrangements including:
Applicant screening with background checks
On-going mediation and counseling
Written living together agreements
Home seekers must be over age 18; live, work, or go to school in Contra Costa County; and have an annual income under $61,380 for a single person.
