Concord has a long history of supporting affordable housing which includes the construction/rehabilitation of multi-family complexes, programs that address habitability issues and excessive rent increases in multi-family units, homeowner rehabilitation assistance, and programs that assist low-income residents with purchasing a home.
The City of Concord is excited to announce that on June 15, 2020, the City will make available five, newly constructed below-market rate (BMR) homeownership units affordable to households at or below 120 percent of area median income. These 3-bedroom homes are being constructed by Discovery Builders and are starting at $526,466. Four of the homes are located within the Willow Terrace community located almost directly across from the Civic Center on Willow Pass; one home is located within the Vista Heights community on the corner of Clayton Road and La Vista Avenue. Hello Housing will be supporting the City in its efforts to market the homes, income-qualify households, and aid the homebuyer in completing the purchase. The homes will be made available through a lottery system, which Hello Housing will help manage. Applications for the lottery will be accepted June 15 – July 10.
