All park playgrounds, basketball courts and bocce courts are closed. People who visit concord parks should adhere to the public health guidelines by maintaining social distancing of 6 feet.

Tennis and pickleball courts reopened on May 4, 2020 under certain restrictions.
The Concord Skate Park reopened on May 4, 2020 under certain restrictions.
The City is accepting and issuing all Building Permit application types. An issued permit does not permit construction in violation of the County Health Order. Violations of the County Health Order will be reported to the Concord Police Department. See the County Executive Summary and Concord Permit Center and Inspection Services March 31, 2020 Update to further clarify which construction project types are allowed under the Order. The City is only performing inspections on permits for new affordable housing units, new medical facilities directly related to COVID-19 response, and emergency repairs per the County Health Order and Executive Summary. The City continues to offer next-day-inspection service for inspection types allowed under the Order. Inspections can be requested at City of Concord Building Inspections or (925) 671-3109.
Public safety remains a top priority. The Police Department’s community service desk and the records department will be closed to the public. However, people can still receive service by phone and email: 925-671-3220, email@example.com.
When calling dispatch, you may be asked a series of questions to assess exposure risk. These questions will allow our officers to utilize the proper personal protective equipment to prevent the spread of COVID-19. When appropriate, reports may be taken over the phone to avoid unnecessary contact. If there is an emergency, we will continue to respond in the same expeditious manner necessary to protect lives and property.
The Public Works office is closed, but our crews will be working throughout the community to continue essential maintenance efforts, including pothole repair, graffiti removal, sewer cleaning, streetlight repair, and more.

The City of Concord understands that the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order may present financial challenges for local businesses. To help mitigate these challenges, the City has highlighted a variety of resources that businesses can pursue during this difficult time. Pickleball and tennis courts reopened with certain restrictions on May 4, 2020. Court facilities are available for unorganized, recreational play as well as private lessons and camps that comply with current County Health Orders. League play is currently prohibited.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, better known as WIC, has suspended all in-person appointments until further notice. Those who have qualified can call local offices to enroll or certify their status and to obtain future food benefits. Those local offices include Concord (925-646-5370); Brentwood (925-513-6880); Pittsburg (925-431-2460); and San Pablo (510-942-4000). The City is continuing to perform Building Code Enforcement for life-safety related items. While the County Health Order is in effect, a permit must be obtained prior to any construction commencing.
