Concord road closures and detours for July 4th weekend

Re: Road Closures and Detours for July 4th Weekend
The Concord Police Department would like to notify the community of heightened traffic congestion, major road closures and detours which will occur as the result of special events taking place over the July 4th weekend. Please refer any questions regarding these traffic closures, detours and restrictions to the Concord Police Traffic Bureau at 671-3265.
The following is a summary of those conditions:
- July 2-4, 2010: Traffic congestion (4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) on Concord Blvd between Glazier Drive and Landana Drive.
- July 2-4, 2010: ROAD CLOSED to vehicle traffic (9:00 to 10:30 p.m.) - Concord Boulevard between Glazier Drive and West Street, with detours noted below:
- From westbound Concord Blvd onto southbound Glazier Drive, with a recommendation for through-traffic to use Clayton Road.
- From eastbound Concord Blvd onto southbound West Street, with a recommendation for through-traffic to use Clayton Road.
- July 4, 2010: ROAD CLOSED to vehicle traffic (8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) - Galindo Street between Concord Boulevard and Pacheco Street, with detours noted below:
- From northbound Galindo Street onto westbound Concord Boulevard and southbound Concord Avenue to eastbound Pacheco Street, with a recommendation for through traffic to use Market Street, Pacheco Street and Highway 242.
- July 4, 2010: ROAD CLOSED to vehicle traffic (8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) - Willow Pass Road between Gateway Boulevard and Colfax Street, with detours noted below:
- From eastbound Willow Pass Road onto Gateway Boulevard with a recommendation for through traffic to use eastbound Clayton Road
- From westbound Willow Pass Road onto northbound Colfax Street or alternatively use East Street to westbound Concord Boulevard.
- July 4, 2010: ROADS CLOSED (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) - Grant Street, Salvio Street and Mt Diablo Street, where the roadways are adjacent to Todos Santos Plaza.
- July 4, 2010: Traffic restricted to local residents only (9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.) on Gill Drive between Grant Street and Ann Street.
- July 4, 2010: Traffic congestion on eastbound East Street between Ann Street and Pacheco Street due to closure of the #2 eastbound lane.
