CCTA to conduct bi-annual traffic, bike/pedestrian counts in Concord

During the months of April and May, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) will conduct traffic and bicycle/pedestrian counts, and vehicle turn movement counts throughout the county. In Concord, the counts will take place at major intersections on Treat Boulevard and Ygnacio Valley Road.

CCTA serves as the Congestion Management Agency (CMA) for the county. As the CMA, CCTA must update its Congestion Management Program (CMP) every two years. The program outlines strategies for managing the performance of regional transportation within the county. Bi-annual traffic monitoring is part of this program.
