Lanes close on Galindo Street for sewer repair

Work to repair and replace a sewer line will continue along one block of Galindo Street between Willow Pass Road and Concord Boulevard during day and evening hours Tuesday, Dec. 1 between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday night. Two-way traffic will be allowed during the construction period, but drivers should expect to slow down and drive cautiously through the area.

The work is necessary because a decades-old sewer line that runs under Galindo Street has begun to collapse, causing blockages and infiltration. Work has been scheduled to occur during non-commute hours to minimize traffic disruptions. The City's sewer maintenance contractor, Roto-Rooter, will be making the repairs.

For further information, contact Public Works Director Justin Ezell, (925) 671-3231.
