Community invited to give input on downtown corridors plan

The City of Concord invites the community to a public meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 10 to provide input on design guidelines for three downtown street corridors: Oak Street, Grant Street (from Oak Street to Salvio Street) and Salvio Street (from Grant Street to Broadway). The meeting will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Concord Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle.

The City of Concord is in the process of developing a Corridors Streetscape Plan for the area. The intent is to improve connections for pedestrians and bicyclists between the Concord BART station and the downtown area around Todos Santos Plaza.<

At the meeting, staff will also share information on related projects, including the Downtown Bike Lane Improvements Project, and the Bike, Pedestrian and Safe Routes to Transit Plan. The next step will be preparation of conceptual design development drawings for the three street segments.
