Volunteers sought to serve on Concord appointed bodies

The Concord City Council is looking for residents interested in serving on two of its appointed bodies: the Commission on Aging and the Concord/Pleasant Hill Health Care District Grant Committee.

The Commission on Aging is seeking two members to serve terms ending on June 30, 2017 and three members to serve terms ending June 30, 2019. Commission on Aging members act as a resource to identify, improve, and develop services and opportunities for senior citizens in Concord. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Concord Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle.

The Concord/Pleasant Hill Health Care District Grant Committee is seeking one member to serve a term ending June 30, 2017. The committee reviews funding requests and advises the City Council on the allocation of district funds. Most meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Civic Center, but additional meetings may be held more often in the spring.
