Learn about successful retirement investing


The Concord Senior Center is hosting a workshop for people who want to learn about the role of social security, Medicare, pensions and plans such as 401Ks and IRAs in retirement. Participants will learn how stocks, bonds, REITs and other investments can provide a continuous stream of income.

The workshop will take place for an hour a week over three weeks on Tuesdays, Jan. 10, 17 and 24, from 7 to 8 p.m.

The sessions will be held at the Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle. This class is most appropriate for those who have $100,000 or more in retirement savings. The workshop fee is $15, course number 102512. The instructor, Dr. Speed, is an experienced registered investment adviser who has been working with retired clients in the East Bay for over 25 years.
