Applications open for vacant Concord City Council seat


The Concord City Council seeks candidates to fill the vacancy on the Council created when Tim Grayson was elected to the State Assembly in November. The term runs through November of 2018. The deadline for applications is Jan. 13 at 5 p.m.

Applicants must be registered voters and residents of Concord, United States citizens, 18 years of age or older, and not disqualified from holding office by the Constitution or laws of the State of California. The City Council plans to interview applicants on Jan. 24.

Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office at 1950 Parkside Dr., by calling (925) 671-3495, or from the City website at www.cityofconcord.org/ApplyForCouncil. All applications must include a Fair Political Practices Commission Form 700, Statement of Economic Interest.
