Interviews set for vacant Concord City Council seat

On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the Concord City Council will hold a special meeting to interview residents interested in filling the vacant seat on the council that was created when Tim Grayson was elected to the State Assembly in the November 2016 election.

From the 33 applications submitted, Councilmembers will interview the following seven residents: Andrew J. Dodd, Hope A. Johnson, Ajit K. Kaushal, Terry E. Kremin, Harmesh Kumar, Timothy A. McGallian and Susan T. Swift.

The council is expected to select one of the candidates at the Jan. 31 meeting. The term runs through November 2018. The meeting will be televised on Concord Cable TV Comcast channel 28, Wave/Astound channel 29 and AT&T channel 99, and streamed live from the City’s website,
