City of Concord offices closed for King holiday

City of Concord offices will be closed Monday, January 15 for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Even when City offices are closed, the 24-hour self-serve sandbag station outside the gates of the City Corporation Yard, 1455 Gasoline Alley off of Bisso Lane, has everything residents need to make their own sandbags. Filled sandbags are available for the elderly by calling (925) 671-3448 during regular business hours. Resident can also bring bags and shovels to the two satellite stations at Lime Ridge and Hillcrest Park to pick up sand. To see a sandbag station map, visit www.cityofconcord.org/sandbags.

Bowling offered through Concord Special Recreation program
Concord, CA (Jan. 5, 2018) - Concord Parks & Recreation offers inclusive and specialized programs for people with disabilities.
"It is our goal to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to our programs and that the experience is successful and meaningful," said Program Coordinator Dario Sanchez.
The bowling program for those 18 years or older begins on Jan. 9 and runs through Feb. 27 every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Clayton Valley Bowl. The fee is $64 and includes three games per session and shoe rental.
