Drop-off Ballot Box Returns to Concord City Hall

Concord residents will find it easier to vote in the upcoming June 5th Election, as the City of Concord has once again partnered with the Contra Costa Elections Office to provide convenient "CoCo Vote-N-Go" drop off locations prior to and on Election Day.

The secure drop-off boxes will be in place at Contra Costa city halls, the county Administration Building in Martinez and some select community centers and libraries, starting the week of May 14 – just days after voters receive their permanent vote-by-mail ballots. A full list of drop-box locations is available at https://www.cocovote.us/election/june-5-2018-statewide-direct-primary-election/#PollingPlaces.

Concord's drop off box is located at the Civic Center, 1950 Parkside Drive, Wing A, Concord.

The distinguishable red boxes will be available 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Postage is not required with the drop-off box service. Contra Costa voters can drop their ballot at any location, regardless of where they live.

"The drop-off box service eliminates the need for a stamp," said Joelle Fockler, Concord City Clerk. "In addition, City staff members will have the popular 'I Voted' stickers available to those who drop off their ballots."

"We are excited to continue working with our city and community partners to be able to offer voters this opportunity," said Joe Canciamilla, Contra Costa Registrar of Voters.  "We urge voters to take advantage of this service."

Ballots must be postmarked on or before June 5th. Ballots may also be dropped off between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Contra Costa Elections Office in Martinez, located at 555 Escobar Street, or at any polling place on Election Day.
