Department Mission
To create community through people, parks and programs by engaging our citizens, building collaborative relationships and responsibly managing our resources.
Community Services
Provide community services assistance to low-and-moderate income Concord residents, provide program funding to aid in the prevention of slums and blight, and address urgent community needs such as disaster relief through the administration of the City of Concord's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and General Fund Grant Programs.
Camp Concord
Contribute to the mental and physical well being of children and adults by providing safe, organized camping programs and rental facilities in a well maintained environment on a cost recovery basis.
Sports & Events
Provide and facilitate sports and events by offering multi-sport leagues, reserved use of athletic facilities and producing regional, national and international events.
Youth Services
Improve the social interaction skills, academic abilities, and physical and psychological well being of children living in Concord by providing a variety of enrichment activities and instruction.
Senior Center
Provide services to senior citizens through the operation of the Senior Center.
