City of Concord, California

Dear Neighbors:

I am writing to keep you updated on Measure Q - Concord's Continuation of Essential Services Measure. Election returns show that Measure Q has passed with more than 50 percent of the vote. We thank all residents who participated in the process and because of your participation, we will be able to maintain local City Services that residents care about and have come to expect.

We take direction from our residents and in this case, they have said continuing locally controlled funding to maintain services such as police patrols and gang prevention services, park and recreation programs, and street and pothole repair efforts is important.

As always, we will continue to remain financially prudent, requiring independent Citizens' Oversight, mandatory financial audits, and yearly reports to the community to ensure that Measure Q funds are spent appropriately.
